The Lygon Street Festa is Back. November 15-16

The Lygon Street Festa is Back.

The Lygon Street Festa is returning to its original roots of show casing everything that is truly Italian in Australia's "Little Italy".
This years Festa is shaping up to be an event to remember with a line up that is growing by
the day.
The Lygon Street Festa is now being brought to you by the same people who have given us
the successful La Befana Festival, so you know it will be spectacular.
Watch this space for more exciting information as it comes to hand.

Wear a mask & celebrate the return of the festa!
The highlight of this year's Festa is the world renowned
Arti per Via which is described as part folk-group, part
travelling museum, part street theatre, the 55-player from
Bassano del Grappa (Veneto Region) put years of research
into studying the tools, costumes, gestures, songs, and skills
of Italy's trades from the turn of the century.
The result is not only a lively and engaging show, but also a
detailed historical and philological reconstruction.
Arti per Via recreates a typical working day, beginning with
the artisans' parade through Lygon Street, commencing at
Elgin Street to Queensberry St, then continues and sets up in
Piazza Italia, which comes magically to life before the
audience's eyes.
